Why red teaming

Controls on paper are not the same as controls under pressure.

Audits confirm what is in place. A red team exercise shows how those layers perform together when a determined adversary tests them.

Coverage

Three attack surfaces. One assessment.

Real adversaries combine technical, human and procedural weaknesses. Our exercises assess all three together.

FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from a penetration test?

A penetration test identifies weaknesses in a defined system. A red team exercise is objective-led and assesses the whole organisation, including people and response processes, the way a real adversary would.

Will the exercise disrupt our operations?

No. Scope and rules are agreed in advance, activity that could affect live services is excluded, and the exercise can be paused at any time.

Who in our organisation needs to know?

Typically a small group of senior stakeholders. This keeps the exercise realistic while maintaining full oversight.

How is our data handled?

Evidence is encrypted, access is limited to the engagement team, and data is retained or deleted according to the terms agreed with you.

How long does an engagement take?

Timelines depend on your size and objectives, and are agreed during scoping before any work begins.
